TRIHRA Committees

Certification Committee

Lead:

This committee exists when individuals from TRIHRA are interested in being certified for the SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP, PHR or the SPHR certification. It is a study group that gets together on an agreed upon schedule to prepare for these exams. If you are interested in becoming certified this year, please indicate yes on the membership application and we will forward this information to the Committee.

College Relations Committee

Lead:

  • Mary Kay Kirgis, Guttenberg Hospital

Oversees the chapters' educational-related initiatives making TRIHRA visible in the schools and community. May visit with students and advise them of the basic skills they will need in the workforce. May speak about interviewing, resume writing, teamwork, communication, customer service, etc. Will facilitate our Student Spotlight program by building connections and networking with students.

Diversity Committee 

Lead:

This committee is in the forming stage. The committee will provide a resource of information on the broad range of Diversity issues, events and the far-reaching impact it has on individuals and corporations.

Membership Committee

Lead:

Members:

  • Kaitlynn Tuthill, Tucker Freight

This committee is designed to recruit new members to TRIHRA. The committee would work with the Board of Directors to identify potential members and contact these individuals to discuss the benefits of belonging to TRIHRA.

Workforce Readiness Committee

Lead:

  • Mary Lee Roth

Members:

  • Stephanie Heitz, Spahn & Rose

Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis local activities concerning workforce readiness issues and plans and encourages chapter involvement and activities impacting the workforce readiness arena.  May visit with individuals new to the workforce and the unemployed or under-employed and advise them of the basic skills needed in the workforce, may speak about interviewing skills, resume writing, teamwork, communication, customer service, etc.
