About the Program:
Change and leadership go hand in hand. This engaging two‑hour session gives you practical ways to strengthen both. During the session, you will identify a change in your organization, consider potential barriers, and reflect on what could support successful implementation. We’ll explore why change is challenging, especially in today’s fast‑moving environment. You’ll learn simple, effective approaches for navigating change and see how leadership directly shapes outcomes. You’ll then bring your idea to life through discussion and analysis. By the end, you’ll walk away with clear, actionable steps to lead meaningful change and begin applying immediately.
Speaker: Patrick Powaser
Pat is a Business Professor at Loras College where he teaches management, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurialism, and industrial/organizational psychology.
He is also an international executive coach and consultant focused on enhancing business results through exceptional leadership. He has served clients in a wide variety of industries, including petroleum, airlines, commercial real estate, environmental services, financial institutions, health care, education, engineering services, and the US military.
Prior to establishing his coaching and consulting practice, Pat spent 25 years inside Fortune 500 corporations (Bank of America, Frito-Lay, The Limited, and Occidental Petroleum). He has worked around the globe and has had clients from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim.
In addition to Loras College, Pat has taught at Iowa State University, San Francisco State University, University of Phoenix, and University of Houston-Downtown. He holds a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University, is a licensed I/O Psychologist (Hawaii), and is a Certified Executive Coach.
Registration begins at 11:30 am. The program will begin at noon.

Lunch will be served buffet-style and is included with your registration. Lemonade and water are provided. If you have specific dietary restrictions, we will do our best to offer inclusive options, but we are only able to accommodate severe, life-threatening allergies at this time. You are welcome to bring your own beverage or additional items if needed.
Registration closes the Thursday before the luncheon at 5:00 PM.
