What is TRIHRA?

The Tri-State Human Resource Association (TRIHRA) was founded in 1992 in Dubuque as the local affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). TRIHRA belongs to a network of over 450 professional chapters and 300 student chapters. There are currently about 100 human resource members in our local chapter. SHRM was started in 1948 when a group of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the personnel/human resource profession formed the American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA), now known as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). It is a non-profit, individual membership association for human resource professionals, representing the interests of more than 115,000 professional and student members from around the world.
